Hello, and welcome to another addition of ɭexi.ɭaron!
Today, we delve into the topic of mass-production, specifically regarding Honda's British CRV and Civic.
Honda's Swindon Manufacturing Plant was established in Southwest England in 1985. Since '85, Honda has invested the American equivalent of 2.11 billion dollars into the Swindon plant.
Before each car is released, each and every piece of equipment is subject to rigorous testing and inspection. The plant can turn out one car in 80 seconds, and it only takes an hour to produce 60 engine blocks. That's about 3,527 pounds worth of aluminum, for those of you who don't know. Check out this video tour of the plant!
