Tim's '91 C4 Corvette

Hey guys, so back once again-- it is I, Lexi.Laron's main writer!!!  There is only one writer, but still it's pretty cool to scream at people.

ANYWAY.

Tonight my boy posted a picture of his '91 C4 Corvette to Facebook, and I knew he had been wanting to get a shoot in, so I commented on that picture and he got to my house faster than a bat outta hell (not that doing so would be a problem driving a '91 C4 Corvette).

We decided we'd go to Tyler Park in Newtown, PA to celebrate the nice weather we've been having recently and find some nice springtime, windy roads.

When I first got out of the car to take pics of the car, Tim told me he had just got finished washing the car.  This was a miracle as a dirty, white car is a disaster for any shoot.

Now, on top of this beastly L98 V8 engine is a Z28 with machined internals.  The owner said that a family member works as a machinist and all he had to do was pay for the parts.  Props to "Mike," the owner of the Camaro.

Big ass brake master cylinder, huh!  Two reservoirs for extra braking power!  I'd expect a sports car to have a smaller master cylinder for a harder brake pedal, but a lot of this engine bay seemed strangely engineered, so I'll take that, Chevy.

Then Tim and I headed to a side-road at Tyler Park.  I had the foreground, but I didn't have the backdrop in the field that we shot at in the above shots.  More photos!

At the end of the day, Tim's Vette is one hell of a fast car with a six speed and a big-ass V8.  From the blade-like wheels wrapped in sticky Goodyear Tires to the fiberglass body, this is one present day American-Made marvel.

Tryna Go to Japan.

Hello Lexi.Laron-ers.  Sorry that the site's been out of commission for quite some time.  I've just been living my life as usual-- going to car meets, hanging with my friends, and trying to make the most out of life by looking at situations from a different perspective.

Anyway, I come to you today to update you on something that is not exclusively automobile-related, but still holds a decent amount of significance when concerning my passion for cars.  It also has something to do with this...

Yes, that's a Japanese flag, and those of you who personally know me know that I am a student attending Drexel University, one of the top engineering schools in the nation with one of the best co-op programs available for prospective engineers looking to gain knowledge and experience in their professional field.

Through Drexel's Co-Op Experience, I am aiming to land a job working for an automobile manufacturer based out of Japan or a research and development company specializing in battery and electric drivetrain technologies for hybrid motor vehicles.

I already speak a little bit of Japanese and I've also always wanted to get involved in their tuning culture, so what better way than to go there while I'm also bettering my education and my chances of getting a high-paying job out of school?

Anyway, to those of you reading this, wish me luck!  I'm going in for my meeting with an International Co-Op Team Member in about forty-five minutes!

Levittown Car Club Meet at Sheraton

Welcome to another Lexi.Laron exclusive shoot of Arcie and a couple of other cars at the meet.

The meet began at the Sears Parking Lot on Oxford Valley Road in Levittown, PA and when a little bit of rain started falling, the boys decided to head up to the Sheraton.

Somebody drove into my shot.

Overseas Parts

So I realize that as an RSX owner, I not only have some of the cheesiest aero parts available on the USDM market, but I also have some of the sweetest Type-R parts available on the JDM and Euro market...problem is they're in the Euro market!

In light of this dilemma, I, Dillon, decided it'd be nice to find a site based out of the UK or Australia that could supply me with the right amount of JDMage for my RSX if I ever decided to modify it any time soon.

Here's how I found this site that I'm about to show you...

Step one.

Go to Google.co.uk.

Step two.

Search for "JDM Car Parts"

Now, we've all seen the usual websites such as Password JDM, and you've maybe even seen J's-Garage.  But this time, try to resist those websites that sell sweet carbon fiber cool air intakes, stickers, and used JDM engines, and go for one that you've never seen before.

The website you see above is called "Nengun" and it's just one of the sites I found for JDM parts in the UK.

And viola, Step Three-- order your parts.

I also found this site, which is pretty amazing.  Eu.tougedistribution.com has the best selection of car parts that I've seen in a while, but unless you have a car that's pretty popular amongst the tuner scene, I recommend not even bothering.  That means you, person in the Prius.

Good Morning!

Today marks another day at work.  My cooperative learning experience with PSEG will be ending soon, so I figured I'd post this little dedication...or something!

The TRD GT 86

Yet another car, today, do I reveal to you that Japan has made with the spirit of speed and agility in mind that we, the Americans, do not have!

The TRD GT 86 is just a modified stock 86, but it looks like so much more!  The new body kit is so fresh!  I want it!!!  It's so beautiful and they won't bring the freaking thing to America!!!

They need to do something like this with an FR-S in America, or I'm going to Toyota Headquarters in Japan and pooping on their doorstep.

Anyway, enough trash talk and ranting even though I don't feel like doing much technical writing today, because work has me tapped out!

Just look at those wheels...

The car is going to feature redone racing seats on the interior, and I'm sure it's going to have the little amenities that normal GTs don't have, including a new shift knob or some cool stitching or something, which is pretty cool considering my Type-S came with a cool shift knob and a new transmission and I KNOW that my car is about ten times faster because of it.

This lady will also be sporting one of TRD's own unique body kits, featuring a new front bumper, side skirts, and rear diffuser with some 18" rims to boot!  Pretty snazzy, eh?  ;)

Suspension tweaks include cross-bracing, carbon-fiber strut tower bars, and I'm sure there's gotta be some other chassis mods going into it or something.  Maybe it's lower?  I don't know, you tell me.

There's going to be a high-performance exhaust!
